The Legal Tools Database is the leading online resource for retrieval of legal sources in international criminal law. It provides free online access to most legal documents that may be relevant to cases involving core international crimes. It has several thousand users around the world and has seen more than 5 million annual hits the last years. The Database is a victory of the ideas of open and free access to legal information, and of legal information as public goods. The Legal Tools Project Co-ordinator - Morten Bergsmo - is the founder of the CMN, and many of the CMN Advisers and Fellows have worked with him to develop the Database and make it a useful public good.
